The Information Security Intern will configure, support, and monitor a comprehensive set of security controls and tools as a part of SECURA's information security strategy for the protection of SECURA's computer systems, networks, and data. SECURA's rapidly growing Information Security department needs a dynamic individual with an InfoSec passion looking to grow their security skillset. This position will help the boarder team achieve strategic goals related to toolset deployments, new monitoring capabilities, and process development and enhancements. The opportunity provides plenty of growth opportunities with fantastic on-the-job learning and mentoring. This internship will be part-time during the school year (15-20 hours/week) based on class schedule and our company's business hours and can be 40 hours per week during breaks. RESPONSIBILITIES: Configure, monitor, and support security software/systems that will help ensure compliance with policies and procedures. This may include but is not limited to SIEM, Next Gen Firewall Management, Multi-Factor Authentication, Internal/External Certificate Authority, Network Access Control, Cloud access controls, Vulnerability Management, AppDev security and monitoring, etc. Assists in the development, execution and/or coordination of Security Architecture Reviews, Secure Network Design, Threat & Risk Investigations, Incident Response and Documentation, DNS, Registrar Management, etc. InfoSec process and procedure definition and enhancements Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: ESSENTIAL: Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of SECURAs internal affairs PREFERRED: The ideal candidate will have a passion for InfoSec and currently be pursuing a degree in a related field with a graduation date on or after May 2026 Vendor training for industry leading information security technologies Knowledge of cloud security Understanding of the current security threat landscape and ability to demonstrate a strong willingness to stay at the forefront of security developments Experience with vulnerability assessment, scanning, and ethical penetration testing Experience with security policies and procedures and awareness programs Highly motivated and dependable self-starter Coding or scripting ability
