This position behaves as CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) subject-matter expert, growing our machining capability and defining expansion of the department to meet market demand.Your experience in setup and programming of CNC equipment, coupled with expertise in extensive fixture design, and machining high temp alloys will be pivotal in shaping the future of additive manufacturing.In a typical day, your expertise:Reads technical drawings and determines appropriate machining steps to realize conforming productCrafts intricate CNC programs for large components in low quantity production runs using computer aided manufacturing softwareDemonstrates expertise in fixture design to enhance production efficiency and maintain top-tier quality standardsLeads the setup of CNC machines, ensuring precision and efficiencyImplements best practices for tool selection, machining parameters, and fixture design to achieve the highest quality in low-quantity deliverablesResponsible for evaluation of machined component and conformance to tolerancesChampions the optimization of machining processes in high-temperature alloys and large components utilizing advanced machining methodsAssists and/or leads CNC troubleshooting activities and resolves problems as they ariseMaintains a clean work environment and supports maintenance of the equipmentMentors and collaborates with team members, sharing your wealth of knowledge in CNC programming, setup, and fixture design. Trains others on proper operation of CNC equipmentAssists with quality control evaluation ensuring conforming componentsDevelops technical documentation and SOPs for relevant equipmentCollaborates with Additive Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production to decipher complex prototype specifications, providing valuable insights for manufacturability as necessaryOther duties and responsibilities as required for the successful operation of businessAdheres to and promotes applicable Policies, Procedures, Safety Rules & Regulations and Security Guidelines(This position will have access to technology and/or software source code that is subject to U.S. export controls. U.S. person as defined in 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20) or who is a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3))We're thrilled to find candidates with:Minimum of 8 years of proven experience as a CNC Programmer/Setup specialist, with a focus on large component machining; associate degree in mechanical engineering or manufacturing engineering preferredDemonstrated expertise in G-code programming language and Computer Aided Manufacturing software, with the ability to read and write G-code proficientlyExtensive experience working with machining of Forgings, Castings, Extrusions, and/or additively manufactured material, especially in the context of high-temperature alloysStrong problem-solving skills and adaptability to evolving project requirementsProven experience in extensive fixture design to enhance machining processesFamiliarity and skill with interpreting technical drawings and blueprintsExtensive experience with computer modeling software such as SolidWorks, Unigraphics, or CatiaExperience from work in an organization with emphasis on quality, following to Standard Operating proceduresProficiency in Microsoft Suite of programs, i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point, Project and VisioDemonstrated familiarity with and ability to interpret and apply Technical Specifications and Customer DatasetsFluent mastery of English languageBasic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles preferred.Other competencies critical to success include:Proactive, self-driven and eager to learnExceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teamsDetail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality, low-quantity components in a prototype environment.Ability to multi-task effectively and prioritize effectively while ensuring structure and accuracy in daily workSkilled at troubleshooting and resolving technical issuesAble to work independently in a structured manner, take initiative and complete processesThe ability to read and apply Standard Operating Procedures, Standard Work and Work InstructionsWillingness to adhere to and promote the NTi values of glød, collaboration, creative curiosity, trust, respect, and integrityThis position will require access to technology and/or software source code that is subject to U.S. export controls.
