Description Responsible for promoting, planning, coordinating, and supervising the execution of all event functions ensuring a top-notch guest experience. Answer banquet/catering phones, schedules appointments for clients to inspect function site, receive confirmed contracts/deposits, prepare Banquet Event Order forms, and maintain client/event files. Responsible for meeting and exceeding the monthly and annual revenue targets by generating brand-new and repeat business through referrals, telephone solicitation, direct mail, outside sales calls, networking, and other community marketing techniques. Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. Evaluates client needs, conduct research, and makes recommendations in order to assist clients in establishing requirements for banquet and convention space needs. Assists clients with any problems or special requests to ensure the best personal service to meet guests' needs. Coordinates meeting or function space design with the Conference Services and Banquet team. Produce menu and event proposals based on the specific needs of the clients in order to ensure the profitability of each event. Communicates extensively with culinary and operations teams to ensure viability of menus and events. Recognizes opportunities for and implements upselling techniques. Rent and coordinate with outside vendors to ensure proper planning and execution of events (audio visual equipment, flowers, dance floors, tables, chairs, etc.). Develops, implements, and manages operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.
