As part of a hard-working and accomplished team of engine avionics system engineers, you will directly impact the future of space flight and help us make progress towards our mission of building the road to space through reusable rockets. Join us in advancing our vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth In this role, you will support the design and development of avionics subsystem test equipment that meet Blue Origin’s needs for a variety of liquid propulsion rocket engines and multiple spaceflight systems. The avionics subsystem includes the controller electronics, software, harness interconnects, instrumentation and electronic exciter used on the engine for ignition and powered flight. You support your team in all aspects of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) development and its use as an operational verification tool. You will contribute to engine avionics design and development by defining software architectures for the HILs that meet program requirements while maintaining commonality with other HILs and enabling re-use at an appropriate level. You will work with the Engines Design Office and your team in using technical standards and processes to enable robust, right-sized avionics test equipment development. This includes sharing lessons learned across the Blue Engines programs to continuously improve how Blue Origin develops and tests avionics and engine control systems. As part of a diverse and hardworking team of specialists, you will support the design of our avionics subsystems through the application of software engineering standard methodologies. You will be encouraged to mentor, both technically and professionally, less-experienced team members in software engineering and development.
