ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned: Install, maintain, and repair technology, data, and communication network systems such as BAC-net, fire alarms, security access devices, IP cameras, lighting control systems, video displays, and distributed audio systems. Use and understand principles of Data Communication Network Distribution and electricity. Maintain, apply, install, and troubleshoot all standard electrical equipment and devices according to the National Electric Code. Familiarity with fiber optic, serial and ethernet technology. Assemble, evaluate, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, generators, motors, and apparatus. Construct and fabricate parts, using hand tools and specifications, by installing cabling and all facets of cable management, device hardware, and programming. Read and interpret electrical circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics. Operate and maintain the movable light grid in the Dome. Maintain floor boxes and cover when necessary. Maintain scoreboards in the Dome unless utilized by an outside IBEW contractor. Provide coverage and assistance as assigned during events; including move-in and move-out. Work at heights on ladders, scaffolding, and motorized aerial work platforms. Operate mechanized equipment when used for electrical maintenance. Participate in various building committee projects (i.e., safety committee) when required. Work from event specification orders as directed by the Lead Electrician or Management. Perform other duties as assigned by Management. Work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings, and holidays. This position works directly with the maintenance carpenter trades staff to maintain the operating standards of the building complex. In addition, this position will interface with contractors, decorators and building staff in regard to electrical work within the facility. The ideal candidate will exercise sound judgment and initiative, with demonstrated experience in low voltage electrical repairs. Knowledge of electrical operations, safety and OSHA standards is critical. This position is part of the bargaining unit represented by IBEW Local 1. Flexibility to work all shifts including days/nights, weekends and holidays is required; along with the ability to pass a drug screen and background check. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment is essential.
