OpenText is looking for a dynamic Senior Manager of Corporate Communications specializing in Cybersecurity to drive our strategic communications to the next level. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of crafting and executing cutting-edge communications programs that elevate OpenText's corporate vision, brand value, and industry solutions. You'll work closely with innovative internal stakeholders including product marketing, content experts, and executives to propel our brand into the global spotlight through media outreach, PR, and thought leadership campaigns. Your mission includes managing a robust press release pipeline and collaborating with customer marketing to ensure consistent, high-impact visibility with key external stakeholders. Additionally, you'll oversee the internal and executive communications programs for the Cybersecurity business unit, championing our company's cybersecurity vision and objectives while staying true to our core values. You'll partner directly with top executives and business leaders to pinpoint communication needs, set ambitious objectives, and devise powerful communications strategies. As a leader and mentor, you'll inspire and guide the Cybersecurity Communications team to develop compelling internal and external communication programs, ensuring we deliver results that resonate and make a difference. WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS Executing corporate and technology public relations campaigns, with a proven track record at PR agencies and/or in corporate PR. You can generate media coverage for product and industry solutions, as well as corporate thought leadership, constantly re-energizing the brand narrative to increase the company's share of voice. Serving as the main point person for internal stakeholders and working together with a global network of PR agencies on outreach to reporters and other influencers. Producing a strong, goals-oriented, and measurable public relations program that communicates OpenText's leadership position in the Information Management market and builds awareness of our products and solutions. Writing and editing press releases, Q&As, thought leadership articles and blogs. Working on several projects simultaneously, adhering to tight deadlines and communicating progress to senior leadership. Relationships with relevant and up-to-date media contacts in key trade and vertical outlets in North America or Canada is a plus. Define, plan, implement, and optimize PR and communications programs, with a specific focus on technology, vertical industries and executive thought-leadership. Lead PR efforts and initiatives for assigned OpenText businesses to support quarterly product launches, GTM programs, campaigns, and digital company and industry events. Work with product/industry and corporate teams to gather requirements, plan, manage and complete projects. Build relationships with stakeholders across OpenText and the media. Develop and execute innovative and engaging communications plans within set time, budget, and resource constraints. Support Partner PR initiatives and manage internal and external press release reviews and approvals. Proactively assess stories and news, analyze issues, develop well thought-out solutions and messages, and gain coverage for OpenText. Surface customer stories for media opportunities, building a robust pipeline to support cadence objectives. Own and manage press release calendar, working and coordinating with internal partners like the OpenText Small-and-Medium-Sized Business (SMBC) Division, AR, IR, etc. Manage multiple project streams concurrently. Report on progress to the senior leadership team. Communicate risks and dependencies in a timely manner. Work with Public Relations Specialist to track, measure, analyze and report results of all programs. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED Bachelor's degree and 8 years of PR or communications experience in a high-tech PR agency or technology company.
