We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Open Source Library Management & Governance team. This pivotal role requires a deep technical expertise and a strong emphasis on team collaboration. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of our open source libraries, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our development community. Key Responsibilities: Lifecycle Management: Develop and implement strategies for effective open source library lifecycle management. Governance; Ensure adherence to governance standards and best practices Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with open source software usage Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment, working closely with development teams to understand their needs and challenges, and providing effective solutions. Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements, continuously exploring new open source libraries and technologies that can enhance developer productivity. Training and Support: Develop and deliver training programs and support documentation to ensure effective use of open source across the organization. Community Engagement: Promote the adoption and usage of our open source libraries through effective communication and outreach strategies Technology: Create and maintain YAML based automated workflows using GitHub Actions Integrate GitHub action workflows with SAST/SCA tools including but not limited to - Checkmarx One SCA, Checkmarx SAST, SonarQube etc. Analyze various types of packages such as Maven, Gradle, PyPi, NuGet, NPM etc., using SCA tools, uncover transitive dependencies of every package type Troubleshoot GitHub action workflows runs and fix any issues Integrate GitHub action workflows with ServiceNow and perform read/write operations Automate scanning of repositories in GitHub using SCA tools and log vulnerabilities and license risks in ServiceNow along with SBOM Create issues for vulnerabilities and licenses risks in ServiceNow custom tables and/or Application Vulnerability Management module Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus Experience: A minimum of 8 years of proven experience in open source software development, management and governance with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Technical Skills: Proficient in one or more programming languages - Python, Java, C++ or JavaScript Expertise in version control systems like Git, GitHub or GitLab Experience in CI/CD pipelines and tools like GitHub Actions, Dependabot, GitHub Advance Security etc. 3 years hands-on experience with creating YAML based automation workflows using GitHub actions In-depth knowledge of various package types and package managers - Maven, Gradle, NuGet, and NPM etc. In-depth knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker Experience in scripting languages preferably Bash, Python and JavaScript Working knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB and APM Familiarity with cloud platforms and associated open-source ecosystem Familiarity with open-source automated testing frameworks and tools Leadership: Proven track record of leading and mentoring technical teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions. Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
