Job Description Employment Law Attorney Our client, a highly regarded law firm with a well-established presence in Louisville , is actively seeking a motivated Employment Law Attorney to join their expanding legal team. Key Responsibilities: Independently manage a caseload involving a variety of employment matters, such as wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, and employee benefits litigation. Draft and review pleadings, legal memoranda, employment agreements, severance agreements, and employee handbooks. Handle discovery, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations related to employment disputes. Represent clients at hearings, trials, and administrative proceedings, including before the EEOC, DFEH, and other regulatory agencies. Provide strategic legal advice and guidance to businesses, HR departments, and individuals on employment policies and best practices. Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex employment litigation matters and assist in trial preparation. Stay up to date with changes in state and federal employment law to provide proactive advice to clients. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in employment law , with a focus on litigation or counseling. Must be Bar licensed in Kentucky , in good standing. Strong knowledge of Kentucky labor and employment regulations, including wage and hour laws, FEHA, FMLA, and ADA. Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively manage client relationships and expectations. Must have a book of business. Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
