Qualified Candidates will be able to: Work closely with Senior Electricians to develop or improve current knowledge of various shipboard electrical tasks. Learn how to read electrical drawing/diagrams. Develop key skills to execute clean and efficient wiring in cabinets. Learn to properly route cables throughout cableways. Use calibrated tools such as Multi-Meters and Meggers Other Duties and Responsibilities: Transport materials, tools, and equipment to and within work sites as required. Inventory received material. Help maintain a clean worksite. Assist senior technicians with drilling, cutting, and modifying various shipboard items. Be able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds Position Requirements: US Citizenship. Must meet requirements to obtain a Federal Secret Clearance. High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of one (1) year of marine/maritime related experience. Ability to perform general maintenance tasks. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Knowledge of relevant tools and equipment. Ability to work aboard ships which includes frequent climbing, bending, and working in confined spaces. Must have a Valid U.S. Driver’s License. Must pass drug screening as a condition of employment. This position is located in Chesapeake, VA.
