UVA Finance Business Systems Support team is seeking a Business Systems Analyst with 3-5 years of professional experience to join our team for a 2-year term. Our mission is to help our UVA Finance colleagues solve business problems with technology in a way that is complementary to existing systems, enhances the capabilities of the organization, and which we can support technically and financially. The analyst will work within a team responsible for operational support, maintenance, configuration, and optimization UVA Finance applications, business systems, and operational integration solutions. The core platforms and systems of support are Salesforce Service Cloud, Microsoft O365 & Power Automate, and Drupal CMS. The analyst will be able to apply established IT project management processes to analyze, document and configure assigned applications to best meet the needs and goals of the functional teams we support. The analyst will provide 3rd tier support for the supported systems and spend much of the time participating in the design, implementation and delivery of data applications, processes, and policies using specialized knowledge and skills. They will work in collaboration with a team of Business Systems Analysts, functional content owners, cross functional support teams, and end-users, and should be able to communicate effectively with all stated groups. UVA Finance will provide training, mentorship, and access to some of the best technology tools in the industry. Responsibilities: Lead, collaborate, and document functional area users through a project methodology to identify system requirements and implement business application solutions. Communicate technical requirements to teammates and management and aids to enhance the overall services provided by the business systems team. Coordinate and perform installation, maintenance, and modification of UVA Finance applications to meet customer and functional team requirements. Act as the liaison between the operational and functional areas with other technical staff. Maintain and develop application and process documentation. Follow existing team processes and procedures and contribute to their improvement for optimal team efficiency . Ensure system data integrity, testing, and documentation. Work independently to solve complex business problems and provide new insight into existing solutions. Ensure excellent communication with internal customers and stakeholders. In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Strong analytical skills, with experience in data analysis, reporting, and visualization . Excellent problem-solving and communication skills . Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. REQUIREMENTS: At least 2 years of experience administrating and/or building solutions in a production Salesforce environment . Salesforce certifications to cover areas of expertise. At least two years' experience configuring and supporting functional applications in two or more of the following systems & applications: Salesforce or Similar CRM Service Cloud, D ocuSign, Claris Cloud, Drupal 9, Microsoft Power Automate, Jira. Knowledge and experienc e utilizing a program or scripting language such as but not limited to: JavaScript, PHP, Perl, Python, Java, C , .net , Visual Basic. Knowledge and experience developing and configuring data reports/dashboard utilizing tools or other demonstrable data manipulation experience , such as: Power BI , Excel, Salesforce, Workday, SQL, MySQL or other database platforms. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering or related discipline. Experience: At least one year of experience. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Licensure: None. PHYSICAL DEMANDS This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs. This position will remain open until filled. This is an Exempt level, benefited position.
