Job Summary As a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our organization's data is effectively harnessed to support decision-making and business strategy. You will be responsible for analyzing data, identifying trends and insights, and developing solutions to optimize business performance. Working closely with business units and cross-functional teams, you will design, develop, and maintain, reports and dashboards to support business objectives and enable data-driven decision-making. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Data Reporting and Visualization Partners with business units to design and build interactive reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms. Provide stakeholders with actionable insights to drive both tactical and strategic decision-making. Data Analysis Collaborate with business stakeholders and other analysts on data management related to report development, database design, standards, and operational efficiencies. This includes some project management, process design, and dashboard development. Report Writer Training Work with and help train subject matter experts (SMEs) in business units to enhance their understanding and use of data and BI tools. Provide guidance on best practices for data interpretation, reporting, and decision-making, empowering them to leverage data effectively in their roles. Data Quality and Governance Develop and implement strategies and tactics to enhance data quality, accuracy, completeness, and consistency across multiple data sources and systems. Assist business units in understanding data governance and make recommendations to improve organization-wide data quality and consistency. Documentation and Procedures Create and manage documentation and appropriate procedures necessary to enforce standards, communicate best practices, define roles and responsibilities, and sustain ongoing operations. Define and promote effective documentation best practices internally and externally. Security / Compliance Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations. Maintain a working knowledge of security threats, laws, and policy for data privacy and protection; take steps to protect organizational data from accidental or unauthorized damage, modification, or disclosure; assist with security and access management. Technical Support and Guidance Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, analysts, and stakeholders on data-related matters, tools, and technologies. Troubleshoot issues related to data and data systems. Monitor data systems. Continuous Improvement Stay current with related regulations, best practices, tools, and new technologies; participate in educational opportunities; read professional publications; maintain personal and professional networks; participate in professional organizations. Use new knowledge and ideas to continuously improve operational efficiencies, procedures, and strategy.
