Job Description
The Finance Lead drives the financial planning analysis and processes and requirements across business supported (External and Contract Manufacturing). This position will ensure compliance with financial policies, prepare management analysis of actuals and planning versus benchmark results, prepare financial analysis and implement process improvements for direct area of responsibility. The Finance Lead works closely with ECM finance team with interface across finance teams within Operations organizations [Ops HQ, OFP&A, IME].
Responsibilities
+ Leads and develops the consolidation of actuals and monthly reporting processes (P&L, Balance Sheet, Headcount), which includes variance analysis as well as understanding the business to ensure commentary is accurately portrayed.
+ Operates independently to prepare relevant variance analysis and develops meaningful management reporting schedules.
+ Leads ad hoc analysis as needed, drive process and system improvements to ensure continued evolution of efficiencies.
+ Leads and develops in the consolidation of planning cycles (LRP, Plan, Standards, Update, & LBE) using planning system and incorporate review changes of both financial and operating management.
+ Ensures financial results are recorded in compliance with AbbVie financial policies (CFMs), Sarbanes Oxley and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
+ Enforces and enhances internal controls by providing guidance and counsel in areas of Corporate Finance Manual (CFM) policies, divisional internal control procedures and international policies.
Qualifications
+ Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting. CPA or MBA a plus.
+ Minimum 6+ years of progressive and related experience.
+ Strong sense of initiative & inquisitive self-starter; strong financial, analytical and problem-solving skills; with ability to identify and resolve financial issues independently.
+ Possess a working knowledge of US GAAP, and financial controls framework.
+ Proficient Excel skills required.
+ Knowledge of SAP, BPC, and HFM a plus.
