Position Description:
The Software/DevSecOps Solution Architect, Principal
is responsible for shaping and standardizing LCG's software application development and DevSecOps frameworks to drive efficiency, security, and scalability across the organization. This role focuses on leading the strategic and technical direction of software architecture, ensuring that solutions align with client goals and remain adaptable to future technological advancements.
The architect oversees the deployment and optimization of the DevSecOps platform, ensuring it meets client needs while fostering a culture of continuous improvement through feedback and iterative development. This role involves active collaboration, leveraging diverse perspectives to design and implement effective solutions informed by a thorough understanding of organizational and client-specific challenges.
All solutions and frameworks adhere to industry best practices, organizational governance, and security standards, delivering sustainable, innovative, and forward-thinking software and DevSecOps capabilities.
Duties and Responsibilities: Design and standardize application development frameworks, including Agile, DevOps, and SecOps, to ensure consistency, efficiency, and quality in software development across projects. Develop and implement standard operating policies and procedures for application development to guide teams and ensure adherence to best practices. Establish a cloud-independent DevSecOps platform to streamline development, security, and operations while maintaining flexibility across cloud environments. Integrate Low Code/No Code platforms into development frameworks to enhance agility and enable business users to actively participate in the development process. Stay current on cloud technologies and incorporate emerging AI tools and capabilities into software development practices to ensure the organization remains innovative and competitive. Drive business growth by developing technical solutions, contributing to proposal writing, and presenting application development and DevSecOps strategies to potential customers during pre-solicitation activities. Contribute to the strategic vision for architecture and DevSecOps by providing technical leadership to shape the future of software application development and modernization solutions Lead and support Agile Transformation efforts by driving the adoption of Agile practices across development teams to enhance collaboration and productivity. Enforce high-level governance and develop policies for software development to ensure alignment with industry standards and organizational goals. Drive innovation in software development by advocating for new technologies, methodologies, and approaches to enhance the organization's capabilities and efficiency. Collaborating with joint venture partners to build trust-based relationships, share expertise, foster knowledge exchange, ensure alignment on shared goals, and support the development of mutual capabilities to enhance program success. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Masters preferred. At least 12+ years of experience in software development and architecture, with an emphasis on designing complex, enterprise-scale software systems. If Masters held then 10+ years. A minimum of 6+ years in a senior-level architecture role, with deep expertise in Agile, DevOps, and DevSecOps practices. Proficiency in cloud technologies, AI tools, and experience integrating Low Code/No Code solutions. Experience in working with a range of stakeholders, from technical teams to non-technical business leaders, to ensure solution alignment with organizational goals. Extensive experience in driving software architecture strategy, including governance, policy development, and continuous improvement. In-depth knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps, SecOps). Expertise in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP). Strong understanding of security practices in software development (DevSecOps). Experience with AI-driven solutions, Low Code/No Code platforms, and CI/CD pipelines.

Understanding of Agile, DevOps, and SecOps frameworks. Expertise in DevSecOps tools (Jenkins, Terraform, GitLab, Kubernetes). Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and architectures. Familiarity with Low Code/No Code platforms (e.g., PowerApps, Appian). Knowledge of software modernization and cloud security governance. Strong leadership and mentorship abilities. Effective collaboration and communication with teams and clients. Proficient in technical solution design and DevSecOps processes. Skilled in project management and multi-tasking. Compensation and Benefits
The projected compensation range for this position is $194,250 to $242,175 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The target salary for this role is $217,200. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
