HX5 is currently seeking a Senior Vulnerability and Lethality Engineer, Senior to join our team at Eglin AFB, Florida.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct lethality assessments for weapon Development and Operational Test (DT/OT) flight tests Perform analysis in the areas of fragmentation mechanics, blast characterization, weapons effects modeling, target vulnerability analysis, analysis-of-alternatives studies, and trade space analyses for concept and developmental weapon programs. Perform experimentation, develops models, and uses analytical methodologies to evaluate weapons effectiveness in complex, networked environments, and integration of targets into Weaponeering tools. Responsible for ensuring lethality/vulnerability modeling and simulation (M&S) accurately predict operational performance and verification/validation and accreditation (VV&A) of modifications/enhancements. Provide reports for Live Fire tests to Office of Secretary of Defense/Live Fire Test & Evaluation (OSD/LFT&E) Education and Experience:
Undergraduate engineering degree from an ABET-accredited college. Master's degree and fifteen (15) years of professional experience; OR Ph.D. degree and five (5) years of professional experience Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours. Other Position Requirements:
