Job Description:

As an Assistant Controller at our client's company, you will play a crucial role in overseeing budgeting, financial operations and overseeing several team members. Your expertise will contribute to the company's continued success and growth.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Controller in managing financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Ensure accurate preparation of financial statements, reports, and analysis.

Support month-end and year-end close processes with emphasis on reducing the number of days to close.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.

Monitor and analyze financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and propose solutions.

Provide guidance and support for financial audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Assist in developing and implementing internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Support the Controller in budgeting, producing KPI's and forecasting activities.

Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to maintain compliance and make informed recommendations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is preferred.

Leadership experience in a similar role, preferably in the Distribution or Manufacturing industry, cost knowledge a plus

Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.

Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound financial decisions.
