The Assistant Director for International Admission works closely with the Director for International Admission and Global Initiatives in all aspects of international recruitment, managing international territories as assigned by the Director. This position develops and implements a robust communication plan for outreach to prospective international students throughout the admission cycle. In coordination with the in-house creative team, this position develops mailings and publications that promote Tulane University to prospective international students, their families, and high school guidance counselors. This position makes frequent public presentations to prospective students and their families describing Tulane University, its programs, and its services. This position develops and maintains relationships with high school guidance counselors.

The Assistant Director independently researches, plans, coordinates, schedules, executes, and evaluates high school visitation and recruitment programs in countries and territories assigned by the Director, seeking guidance only when necessary. This position is responsible for the initiation, execution, and analysis of several special projects. These tasks may include planning special events both on and off campus, coordinating the activities of alumni, parents, and current students involved in the recruitment effort, serving as a liaison with several University departments and/or college Dean's offices, serving on university committees, supervising staff and student workers on specific projects, conducting market research, or managing project-specific budgets.

• Highly developed written and oral communication skills.

• Superior interpersonal and public speaking skills.

• Capable of presenting Tulane University in a favorable light with individuals, small groups and large groups.

• An appreciation for the cyclical nature of admission work and the flexibility to handle a variety of duties and projects throughout the day as well as throughout the year.

• Computer literacy is important to the efficient management of a quantity of work.

Ability to work effectively with diverse constituencies, including faculty, academic deans and senior administrators, admission staff members, students, parents, guidance counselors and alumni.

• Complete understanding of Tulane's academic and extracurricular offerings and admission practices.

• Well versed in university culture as well as the unique culture of New Orleans.

NCAA Related:

Ensures that all Department of Athletics and University related activities operate in full compliance with university, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations. Attends and participates in scheduled compliance seminars and complies with all the Athletic Department's efforts to monitor compliance with NCAA regulations. Seeks interpretations from the compliance staff before acting when necessary. Reports potential rules violations immediately. Completes required compliance paperwork in a timely and efficient manner. Monitors all of their areas and/or programs activities closely to maintain compliance with applicable rules and regulations.

• Bachelor's Degree.

• 3 years of experience in university admissions.

• Master's Degree. • 4 years of experience in university admissions.
