**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)

**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years in Stepdown in an acute care setting
**License:** Required for submission
**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS
**Must-Have:** - Experience with Cardiovascular surgeries and Stepdown care - Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
**Job Description:**
- Adhere to a strict 75-mile radius rule from the facility based on the address on the driver's license. - Choose between a clinical interview or "auto-offer" based on resume review. - Cardiology Stepdown Unit responsibilities include care for patients post-cardiac surgery and those undergoing smaller procedures like drips and CHF care. - Manage a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 to 5 on a 44-bed unit, consisting of semiprivate and private rooms. - Supervision by a Charge Nurse (Clinical Supervisor). - Work every other weekend and have a flexible schedule around holidays. - Wear Caribbean Blue scrubs. - Use Meditech for electronic medical records and Phillips for telemetry. - Responsible for administering and managing drips such as Cardizem, amiodarone, dobutamine, dopamine renal dose, and more. - Utilize BiPap, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen; no full ventilators are present. - Collaborate with in-house hospitalists or intensivists 24/7. - Support from a 24/7 PICC team, Respiratory Therapy, and Pharmacy. - Participate in unit-specific orientation for 3 shifts. - Handle common diagnoses and patient types including cardiovascular surgeries, thoracotomy, VATS, etc. - Patients discharged and admitted at a high turnover rate, with 12-16 admissions/discharges on a busy day. - Preferred ability to pull pacer wires or orientation will be provided if not. - Ensure compliance with dress code: natural hair color, no fake nails, shellac, facial piercings, or visible tattoos. - Be prepared to float to ICU, with assignments based on experience level.

- The assignment includes a cancellation policy allowing 12 hours every two weeks. - Charting will be conducted using Meditech - 6.1. - Must be comfortable with attendance expectations and floating as necessary.
