Job Title: CAD Drafter Department: Drafting/Engineering Reports to: Engineering Department Lead Job Type: Full Time with some overtime when required. Salary Range: $60,000- $72,000 annual salary range Location: Onsite (Remote or hybrid considered for well qualified candidates) Benefits: Healthcare, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO, Work/ Life Balance Job Summary: As a Millwork Drafter, you will play a crucial role in our design team, responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans based on the concepts and specifications provided by outside architects and designers. Your work will encompass a variety of projects, translating ideas into precise and clear visual representations. This position requires strong technical drawing skills, proficiency in CAD software, and attention to detail. Your drafts will be essential in guiding the construction, manufacturing, or modification of our projects, making accuracy and clarity your top priorities. Key Responsibilities: Technical Drawing Creation: Produce detailed technical drawings and plans using CAD software based on specifications from engineers or designers. Design Collaboration: Collaborate with engineers and designers to understand project requirements and transform concepts into technical drawings. Revision and Modification: Modify and revise designs based on feedback to ensure final drafts meet project specifications. Document Management: Maintain and organize all drawings and documentation for easy access and reference. Quality Assurance: Ensure all drawings and plans adhere to industry standards and guidelines. Project Coordination: Coordinate with other team members to ensure consistency and accuracy in all project documentation. Design Research: Stay updated on new drafting techniques, software updates, and industry best practices. Qualifications: Education: Associate degree or relevant experience required Experience: 2 years commercial (preferred) (residential ok) Technical Skills: CAD Proficiency (Microvellum Proficiency a plus) : Expertise in computer-aided design (CAD) software, Microvellum software and other drafting tools. Technical Knowledge: Understanding of engineering and architectural principles relevant to drafting cabinets and millwork. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all technical drawings. Visualization Skills: Strong ability to translate concepts into detailed and accurate visual representations. Soft Skills: Communication Skills: Clear communication abilities to collaborate effectively with engineers, project managers, and shop workers. Problem-Solving : Aptitude for addressing design challenges and finding practical solutions. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
