Project Description A law school intern is sought to work in the Law Department Contracts Group (LDCG), which is part of the broader Transactions Law Group. The LDCG provides contract law support to a wide array of Regeneron's departments, including in the areas of preclinical and clinical research, medical affairs, commercial products, trade, market access, information technology, real estate and facilities, human resources, finance, corporate citizenship and strategic sourcing areas, and is responsible for preparing, negotiating and advising on contract law and the terms and conditions of agreements, assessing legal risk for the business groups involved and helping them establish effective relationships to drive Regeneron's science and business forward. In addition, the intern will help the Transactions Law Group attorneys with strategic transactions and collaborations. Primary responsibilities will include reviewing contracts and participating in their negotiation for various of the areas listed above. Agreement types may include confidentiality agreements, material transfer agreements, consulting agreements and service agreements. Successful candidates will also coordinate and contribute to the review or creation of template agreements and, using technical skills, refinements to the contract management system. Research projects and legal seminars will round out the experience. An endof-internship presentation is required. Necessary Technical Skills Pursuing a JD degree, preference to students who will have completed their 1st year of law school. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite including MS Word and PowerPoint and using other datadriven applications. Strong writing, research, communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with and interest in contracts and corporate legal issues. Science background is a plus. A cumulative GPA of 3.0 is preferred. We want someone who is able to commit to 40 hours per week for a minimum of 10 weeks from the end of May/ June through the beginning of August. Demonstrated leadership in areas such as campus activities, clubs, sports, current or previous work, or the community is also preferred.
