Social Media Coordinator Job Summary:
We’re looking for a Social Media Coordinator to join an Association in Washington, DC. This is a long-term, 40 hours a week contract role that will require you to work onsite two (2) days per week. As a Social Media Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the company’s main X/Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Threads, YouTube and TikTok accounts and maintain the company’s social media voice. You will track trends and important conversations, and regularly report on trends and growth of the social media footprint.
Social Media Coordinator Responsibilities:
Maintain social media voice, including verbiage, branding, engagement tactics, optics, and more. Report out trending topics, top posts, and changes in the social media landscape weekly. Create new information for Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Threads, YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram accounts. Work with marketing and other divisions to ensure key resources and offerings are properly marketed on social media. Research both within and outside the organization to identify news to share on social media. Monitor comments on all social media accounts and blogs. Cover company events for social media. Brainstorm, develop, and design social media friendly visuals, such as infographics for posting and Instagram stories. Develop and upload videos to video channels. Work with other Communications staff to promote company blogs, coordinate popular topics for potential blogs, and create graphics to promote blogs on social media.
Social Media Coordinator Qualifications:
BA/BS and at least 2+ years of relevant experience work experience. Prior experience with social media, preferably in a nonprofit or association, is required. Experience managing a content calendar for an organization is preferred. Must be a strong writer with a good eye for detail. Experience with Hootsuite, or similar social media management tool is preferred. Advanced graphic design skills are highly preferred, as is experience with Adobe Creative Suite.

This job is Hybrid Remote.
Pay Range: Hourly $23.00 to $27.00
