This role requires strategic thinking, outstanding organization and planning, and a strong ability to collaborate and communicate with internal, cross-functional teams and stakeholders.The ideal candidate will be a flexible andadaptiveteam player,who thrives on managing multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with evolving requirements.This fully United States based remote positionoperatesMonday-Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM ET. Responsibilities + Conduct thorough gap analyses to identify discrepancies, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement during the transition from one tool to another. Provide detailed recommendations to address identified gaps. + Oversee the management of data points; ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness throughout the transition process. Design and implement best practices for data entry, storage, and retrieval. + Aggregate data from various sources to create comprehensive and cohesive datasets for analysis and reporting. Ensure data integrity and consistency across all aggregated datasets. + Create and maintain a data dictionary for all datasets to capture what a data point represents and where it is being utilized in reporting. + Develop and maintain data models to support analysis and reporting needs. Ensure models are correct, scalable, and aligned with business requirements. + Perform data cleansing to ensure datasets are correct, complete, and free of errors. Implement processes to support data quality over time. + Create dynamic and interactive visualizations utilizing data to provide insights and support decision-making with tools such as Power BI. + Demonstrate a strong understanding of the diverse types of visualizations and graphs and utilize the correct visualization for each situation. Leverage feedback and requirements from stakeholders to tailor visualizations effectively. + Publish visualizations and reports to an established, premium workspace, ensuring accessibility and usability for stakeholders. + Prepare individuals to present data stories effectively to various stakeholders, ensuring clarity and impact. + Present data stories at all organizational levels, including executive, and articulate details appropriately for each audience. + Generate detailed and insightful reports on data findings, trends, and patterns to support strategic decision-making processes. Present data in a clear and actionable format for stakeholders. + Identify opportunities to maximize efficiencies in data management and governance processes. Implement strategies and tools to streamline data workflows and reduce redundancies. + Ensure compliance with VA data governance policies, standards, and best practices to maintain data integrity, security, and privacy. Develop and enforce data governance frameworks and protocols. + Work closely with stakeholders, including business units and IT teams, to understand their data needs and offer actionable insights. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration to ensure data solutions meet organizational requirements. + Perform rigorous quality checks and validation processes to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and completeness of data. Address any data quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions. + Utilize data science techniques, such as machine learning, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling, to extract insights and drive data-driven decision-making. Develop and implement algorithms and models to solve complex business problems. Qualifications Required Skills and Experience Bachelor's degree in business administration, business management, computer science, information systems, operations, research or related fields is required with 5 years of experience. Certifications in relevant UX software plus 3-5 years of relevant experience; or 5 to 7 years of relevant experience may be substituted for education + Proficiency in advanced quantitative analysis coupled with a high capacity for strategic, end-to-end thinking, enabling you to drive impactful solutions. + Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail with experience in conducting gap analyses, identifying discrepancies and inefficiencies, and providing actionable recommendations. + Extensive experience in using Power BI for creating dynamic visualizations and dashboards, and Excel for data analysis, manipulation, and reporting. + Experience in preparing individuals to present data effectively to various stakeholders, ensuring clarity and impact. + Data reporting, trend analysis, and clear communication with experience in generating detailed reports and presenting data findings in actionable formats. + Process improvement, workflow optimization, and efficiency strategies with experience in identifying and implementing efficiency improvements in data management. + Data governance, policy compliance, and data security with experience in ensuring compliance with data governance standards and developing governance frameworks. + Communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement with experience in working with business units and IT teams to provide actionable data insights. + Quality control, data validation, and issue resolution with experience in performing quality checks and addressing data quality issues promptly. + Machine learning, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling with experience in utilizing data science techniques and developing algorithms and models for business problems. + Must be a US citizen. + Must pass a background investigation. Desired Skills and Experience: + Experience with Veterans Affairs or other government agencies. + PMP, Scrum Master, and/or other Agile/SAFe certifications. + Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) + Data Governance and Stewardship Professional (DGSP) + Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) Clearance: Must be able to obtain/maintain Suitability/Public Trust clearance.
