JOB TITLE: Purchasing/Warehouse Manager

DEPARTMENT: Operations

REPORTS DIRECTLY TO: General Manager

Pay Range: Starting $65k DOE

POSITION SUMMARY:

Plan, organize, and direct functions related to purchasing & inventory management, warehouse operations and tool management program. Oversee purchase of essential materials for the completion of all aspects of HVAC installation and service/repair. The manager is responsible for establishing, partnering, and managing the working relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal clients. Direct quarterly business reviews with suppliers & subcontractors to ensure a mutually beneficial relationship. Maintain Hamstra warehouse stock levels, cleanliness and high level of organization. Ensure that all materials are ordered accurately and are either on-site or in-stock when needed, and be responsible for preventing material waste, damage, and theft. Manage Buyers, Warehouse Associates. Train team on procedures and adherence to policy. The manager will provide an unmatched client experience and appropriately support and represent Hamstra's mission and values.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years' experience in purchasing, inventory management, supply chain, and warehouse management
  • Valid driver's license
  • Insurable by company insurance carrier
  • Strong skills in MS Office Applications
  • ERP/MRP experience a plus
  • APICS/CPIM Certification desired
  • Knowledge of work instruction creation and process
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • KPI driven - Focus on continuous improvement
  • Ability to analyze and manipulate data into actionable tasks that contribute to long range growth strategy
  • Good mathematical skills for dealing with pricing and quantities
  • Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team to complete daily activities according to schedule
  • Manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Must be able to meet US Dept of Labor strength level designation of Light/Medium (See below)
