About the Role:

As the Recruiter for Facet, you will play a crucial role in attracting, sourcing, and hiring top talent for various positions within the organization. This role owns the entire recruitment process from crafting innovative strategies to sourcing top talent, evaluating candidates, and leading the offer process across a variety of roles. This position requires strong relationship management skills, a keen understanding of the recruitment process, and the ability to engage with candidates effectively.

You will work within the HR team and report to the HR Manager, while collaborating with hiring managers across departments to understand their staffing needs and develop strategies to meet those needs. The Recruiter identifies colleges with strong engineering and environmental sciences programs, travelling to job fairs to promote internships and connect with new graduates.

This hybrid position involves travel to Facet’s offices 2-3 days per week. Facet’s corporate office is in Seattle, with surrounding offices in Kirkland, Spokane, Mount Vernon, Whidbey, and Federal Way.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Recruiting

  • Developing, facilitating, and implementing all phases of the recruitment process.
  • Collaborating with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
  • Identifying and implementing efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
  • Responsible for job posting and advertisement processes.
  • Screening applications and identifying qualified candidates.
  • Assisting with the interview process, crafting questions, and attending interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Allocating recruiting budget and maintaining metrics for the ROI of sources.
  • Collaborating with the hiring manager and/or other human resources staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
  • Partnering with Marketing to create and maintain branded recruiting material.

Campus Recruiting

  • Identifying schools and campus organizations which provide a pipeline of talent for internships and entry level roles.
  • Attending and participating in college job fairs and recruiting sessions.
  • Working with leaders to identify internship responsibilities and oversee internship recruiting and onboarding.

Equity and Engagement

  • Working with hiring managers to reduce bias and provide an excellent candidate experience.
  • Leading salary survey participation, reviewing and analyzing salary surveys.
  • Conducting stay and exit interviews.
  • Assisting with engagement surveys.
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • Required:
    • BA in Human Resources, business or related field, or equivalent work experience.
    • 1-2 years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process.
  • Preferred:
    • 3-5 years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process highly preferred.
    • HR certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP.
    • Experience recruiting for an engineering firm or other professional services field.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to travel between our offices, as needed.
  • Ability to travel 5-10% of the time during the academic year.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $80,000 – 90,000/yr., full-time
  • $900/mo. towards medical insurance
