Job Description:

HITT Contracting is seeking a passionate and experienced recruiter dedicated to the pipeline of the Futures Program which serves our entry-level leadership development program that provides opportunities for emerging talent to advance their careers in construction. Futures Program candidates are primarily students therefore the ideal candidate has experience building and maintaining relationships with local high school and national college or university programs. The recruiter is responsible for conducting full life cycle recruiting for interns and full-time project engineers and site engineers and coordinating the logistics of the interview and selection process in partnership with Futures Program stakeholders. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-performance environment and takes great pride in ensuring a best-in-class candidate experience. The position is based in our Falls Church, VA headquarters office and offers a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full life cycle recruiting efforts for entry-level and student positions across HITT's 14 office locations
  • Source, screen, interview and place qualified candidates using a variety of traditional and emerging recruitment methods
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key contacts at target schools including academic faculty, career services, development offices, student organizations, etc.
  • Partner with business unit leaders to determine current and future staffing needs
  • Collaborate with Futures Program stakeholders to certify the best source hire and key qualifications for program participants
  • Attend university and/or high school career fairs representing HITT as a brand ambassador and expert in Futures Program pathways
  • Identify opportunities to enhance and streamline talent acquisition and onboarding processes
  • Update and maintain applicant tracking system
  • Uses traditional and non-traditional resources to source and attract quality candidates such as job boards, social and professional networking, outreach, and diversity recruiting efforts
  • Ensure recruitment methodologies and hiring practices are in compliance with government regulations and organizational policies and procedures to ensure appropriate and fair selection, assessment, pre-screening, and post-employment methodology
  • Develop, monitor, analyze and report on key recruiting metrics to ensure quality standards are being met
  • Establish and maintain a high level of candidate engagement throughout the entire recruiting and selection process
  • Act as a resource on talent acquisition topics for colleagues and hiring managers across the organization
  • Develop and implement strategies to identify, attract and hire highly-qualified team members, as well as build an on-going talent pipeline
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5 - 10 years of professional recruiting/talent acquisition experience
  • Highly experienced with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and job boards
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing passive sourcing strategies to creatively attract top talent in the industry by using internet sourcing techniques and sites and full recruiting lifecycle background
  • Experience in implementing and administering policies related to diversity and workforce inclusion
  • Experience in EEO, FLSA and OFCCP regulations as related to recruiting & hiring
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Able to prioritize and manage competing demands while being adaptable and flexible
  • Proven success in working independently
