Job Summary

Responsible for the direct recruitment of prospective students for graduate programs. Develops relationships with students and other stakeholders through phone, in person, travel, recruiting events and overall enrollment coordination. Partners with the academic programs to ensure that students receive timely and accurate response to requests as well as develop outreach in anticipation of those needs. Leads all the planning for on-campus recruiting events and supports the schools and colleges in running individual programs.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Serve as primary liaison in the recruitment of prospective graduate students
2. Liaise extensively with Graduate Admission Specialists in the Office of Graduate Admissions to facilitate application, admission and conversion
3. Provides competent advice to prospective students, being sensitive to individual needs. Maintain confidentiality of admissions records
4. Prioritizes, delegates and ensures completion of a variety of tasks with multiple deadlines
5. Collaborates with academic program partners to identify and expand prospect pool, develops recruitment strategy, and executes outreach campaigns to meet set program goals
6. Develops and manages prospect relationships to ensure that communication of program features and benefits are customized by prospect
7. Consistently communicates the value of KSU and how it can meet the needs of the prospects, applicants, and admitted students
8. Advises prospective graduate students on program selection, fit and admissibility
9. Represents KSU graduate programs at college, corporate, and other recruiting programs and events, including (but not limited to) organizing information sessions, open houses, class visits, workshops, and networking receptions
10. Partners with the schools and colleges to ensure we have appropriate communications and identifies, organizes and hosts effective on campus programming, a campus visit program and other activities in support of enrollment
11. Collaborates with the department leadership and marketing representatives to ensure we have strong and effective digital and print marketing materials have strong and effective digital and print marketing materials
12. Collaborates with academic program partners, graduate enrollment management staff and other university administrators to ensure the smooth transition of students from admission to
matriculation, including participation in orientation
13. Works with the Financial Aid and Student Financial Services Office to understand and explain financial aid and payment processes to applicants
14. Performs data analysis of graduate recruitment events to inform overall graduate outreach and recruitment strategies
15. Generates reports to track weekly graduate enrollment statistics, as well as create ad hoc queries using the approved electronic processes and systems
16. Performs market analysis by monitoring and assessing competitiveness of KSUs graduate programs, analyzing admissions feedback from prospective students, and assessing
effectiveness of communication strategies
17. Advocate for identification and approval of programs, events and collateral important to successful recruitment

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in related field

Other Required Qualifications
Current, valid, and unrestricted Georgia driver's license

Required Experience
Previous experience in managing and/or supporting recruitment programs at a university or college, or with corporate clients and adult learners
Demonstrated knowledge of graduate admissions processes, requirements, policies, and their relationship to other academic and administrative offices
Advanced experience working with admission CRM systems like Slate and Banner highly preferred

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Background in preparing comprehensive reports and executive summaries incorporating complex, highly technical information

Preferred Educational Qualifications
Graduate degree is preferred.

Highly developed organizational and customer service skills
Must be highly motivated, self-directed, detailed and results oriented with the ability to maintain multiple projects
