Job Description A large investment management firm is looking for a Business Data Analyst to join their Data Management and Analytics team. The client has over 51 offices which service over 22 countries and currently $1.4Tn total AUM. They provide managed equity strategies, active fixed income and liquidity, alternative investments, and custom solutions. They are also committed to sustainable investing and making strides for their customers to meet their ESG goals. This role will sit onsite in downtown Boston a 3 days a week and remote the other 2 days. The firm is creating a simplified public platform to consolidate data into one place - there are legacy data sources and integrations with the new architecture so there are a lot of systems/solutions that need simplification. The goal is to create easier data access across the firm. The data sets are majority equity and fixed income, bank loans, corporate bonds and municipal bonds, so it is crucial that this individual knows concepts such s security master, trading data, pricing/valuation, etc. The role will be 60-70% business data analysis, 20-25% talking to business groups (consumer, data ingestion teams etc), and 10-15% coordination with development team. They will be leveraging SQL queries for hands on data analysis, presenting analyses to stakeholders and creating stories within JIRA. Compensation: $60-70/hr.
