Job Description
You will play a critical role in advancing the data services of our Client. You will analyze, compile, and validate data related to discrimination incidents and outcomes, utilizing statistical techniques to identify trends that support our mission. In addition to your data analysis responsibilities, you will act as a business analyst, gathering requirements for enhancements to our case management system.
- Analyze and manage data using advanced techniques to inform Clients mission.
- Develop reports and visualizations using Microsoft Power BI and SharePoint.
- Create and maintain data integrity through metadata and data dictionaries.
- Write scripts to identify and resolve data errors and inconsistencies.
- Design and implement reports with other business intelligence tools, including Tableau and MicroStrategy.
- Serve as a technical lead on projects involving data-driven dashboard applications.
- Communicate complex data concepts and project requirements effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Engage with customers, managers, and end users to analyze project objectives and data application specifications.
- Collaborate with data stewards and analysts to acquire, clean, and transform data for reporting purposes.
- Ensure data security and compliance with District policy.
- Provide training and support to end users on data tools and applications.
- Keep up to date with the latest MS Power BI and SharePoint features and trends.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of experience as a Data Analyst working with MSSharePoint and Power BI.
- 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst working with users to define requirements and build out user stories and use cases for a new case management system.
- 6+ years of experience in IT support roles in a Microsoft environment troubleshooting PC and LAN related issues.
- Strong understanding of data analysis, data mining, and statistical analysis techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to address diverse audiences.
- Proven track record of working independently and as a technical lead.
