Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist with a strong background in intelligence, chemical and biological threats, and artificial intelligence (AI) to lead our studies and analysis initiatives. This role will involve managing complex data projects, deep research, developing and working with advanced analytical models, and providing actionable insights to drive strategic decision-making. Day to Day Responsibilities: oversee a team of data scientists and analysts, guiding them in project planning, execution, and delivery of analytics solutions. Lead the design and implementation of advanced analytics projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder needs. Utilize strong problem-solving skills to conduct statistical analyses and interpret complex datasets, transforming data into meaningful insights. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and business units, to integrate data-driven solutions into operational processes. Stay abreast of the latest developments in chemical and biological threats, AI and machine learning, applying innovative techniques to enhance analytical capabilities and methodologies. Turning complex data into actionable insights, identifying trends and patterns that inform strategic decisions. As needed, oversee a team of data scientists and analysts, guiding them in project planning, execution, and delivery of analytics solutions Required Qualifications: Master's degree in related field such as IT, computer science, statistics or mathematics. 15 or more years of progressive experience as a data analyst and scientist Demonstrated understanding of intelligence, chemical and biological threats, and artificial intelligence (AI) Proficiency in prompt engineering and data visualization, along with experience in AIML frameworks (e.g., Data Abyss). Familiarity with databases and data manipulation tools (e.g., SQL, MongoDB) to manage and analyze large datasets effectively. Knowledge of various research methodologies and the ability to apply or adapt these techniques to achieve research goals. Experience in A/B testing, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis techniques. Experience documenting findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner and presenting the complex data and insights to diverse audiences. Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense SECRECT security clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Capability to make informed decisions based on research findings and data analysis Critical Thinking: Strong problem-solving capabilities to evaluate information critically and make informed recommendations. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a knack for translating complex data findings into actionable business strategies. Experience in leading data science projects within an intelligence, threat, or AI-focused environment. Knowledge of DoD and IC techniques and specific applications of data science and AI, particularly in areas such as threat horizon scanning, market analysis, ally, peer, and competitor technology and threat analysis.
