Job Description
The Financial Analyst will play a key role in the annual operating budget, variance analysis and management reporting. This position works independently to create timely and actionable information used to improve financial and operational outcomes. The Financial Analyst is expected to independently function at a high level of technical and mathematical proficiency to maintain, develop, and update financial models and reports. This individual will continuously improve processes and become a subject matter expert of relevant analytical tools and industry best practices. This position reports to the VP of Reporting & Analytics and will support requests from various internal departments.
Responsibilities
- Prepare weekly and monthly operational reports and evaluate financial performance.
- Provide financial analysis, prepare finance reporting, and meet other ad hoc requests by creating, enhancing, or maintaining report files, models, and templates
- Perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Prepare, update, maintain, and distribute monthly financial reports, coordinating with other members in the Finance and Accounting teams
- Create and maintain the operating budget templates for revenues and expenses. Maintain and enhance financial models and forecasts.
- Utilize Accounting and Financial software to develop and maintain financial reporting
- Assist with the annual budget process by updating and preparing the operating budget templates for revenues and expenses
- Enhance and modify models and analysis when needed
- Perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations
- Gather requirements and data from various sources, working with others in Reporting & Analytics as well as operational departments to populate relevant information for analyses and assumptions
- Provides technical financial expertise to support various users, including use of Excel
- Work closely with corporate departments to communicate and collect information required for compliance purposes.
- Conducts other ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions
- Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelors' degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 1 years of corporate finance experience.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel.
- Solid analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and summarize significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Familiarity with financial systems, data visualization tools, BI platforms, and statistical analysis software.
- Understand relational database concepts, table design and structure, joins, data normalization, and data types.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences.
- Strong project management skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail required to succeed in the role.

Salary Range: $80,000.00 - $90,000*
*The salary range is the one that Beecan Health reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual salary will depend on several factors (e.g., experience, educations, qualifications, etc.).
