We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Security Manager in Chicago, Illinois. As a Security Manager, you will play a vital role in managing our Security Operation Center, ensuring the effective use of detection technologies and conducting thorough analysis of log data. You will be actively involved in the technical aspects of the role, including coding, while also managing and training your team.

Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage the Security Operation Center team
• Ensure efficient and effective use of detection technologies in security operations
• Analyze log data thoroughly to identify potential security threats
• Respond promptly and effectively to any security events
• Play an active role in the technical aspects of security management, including coding
• Train and mentor the team to enhance their skills and knowledge in security operations
• Maintain a strong focus on the management of cloud services, particularly Azure
• Balance the twin aspects of the role - managerial and technical - effectively
• Ensure the security of our digital assets and lead the team in this endeavor.• Proven experience in a security management role
• Proficiency in Access Control practices and procedures
• Understanding and experience with Cisco Technologies
• Familiarity with Firewall Technologies for network security
• Knowledge of Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS)
• Proficient with Microsoft Active Directory
• Experience in auditing security systems and procedures
• Understanding of Authentication methods and protocols
• Ability to manage and maintain Computer Hardware
• Experience in Configuration Management for system security
• Ability to manage and coordinate a Security Operation Center.
