As a Site Security Manger at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for direct supervision of security personnel at a Micron site. These personnel may be Micron Team Members or contracted security staff. You will supervise local security programs, intended to reduce the risk to Micron personnel and assets including access control, loss prevention, workplace violence prevention, intelligence gathering, threat analysis, countermeasure deployment, alarm point and closed circuit television applications, risk assessment, and investigations. In addition, you will serve as the principal security resource to the Site. As the Security Supervisor, you will lead and supervise performance of the security officers on duty and activate additional resource support under changing operational conditions. You are to administer security systems, policies and procedures in compliance with Company directives, guidelines, and the law. Responsibilities and Tasks Supervise Site Security Programs and Systems Administer physical security operations for the site Maintain knowledge of and apply company safety, labor, and ethics policies Communicate requirements to applicable team members Oversee execution of required training for direct reports Identify and resolve and / or report potential safety, security, and labor issues Conduct monitoring through the use of installed surveillance systems Participate in the development of global security policies Conduct physical security risk assessments on an annual basis and in alignment with corporate guidelines Consult Regional Security Manager on investigations, as appropriate, in keeping with corporate requirements Maintain security systems and equipment to ensure effective operational resilience in the protection of Micron assets and ensure proper reporting of malfunction for prompt repair/replacement Administer general and emergency communication systems to include management of the Security Control Room, where applicable, and Lobby operations Monitor the Performance of Site Security Ensure officers adhere to duty post and relief schedules Make changes to duty assignments based on operational or business needs Deliver the required support and security services to other functional groups, adhering to standard methodologies as a guide. Monitor how well guards adhere to security post orders (or contract expectations) by tracking critical metrics. Monitor and ensure implementation and maintenance of a security personnel training program Manage Team Member Performance Provide communication regarding job expectations and changes Mentor and provide career development Establish goals and monitor performance achievement Conduct performance appraisals Collect, review, and provide verbal and written performance feedback for continual development Manage employee performance and resolve conflict Provide recognition Build an Effective Team Prioritize work, remove barriers, and drive for accountability Manage team staffing and succession Distribute work and learning opportunities Empower team members and promote teamwork Provide line of sight to strategic objectives Lead all aspects of Functional Area Service Delivery Provide consultation on work execution and problem solving Provide mentorship for resolving sophisticated issues Coordinate and communicate policy and procedures Monitor for adherence to policy and procedures and provide feedback Ensure team members are properly trained according to department compliance and work requirements Identify and implement system and process improvements Develop, monitor, and report performance metrics Promote Internal/External Collaboration and Provide Project Support Establish and manage positive relationships with key internal partners Establish and maintain relationships with local law enforcement and security providers Maintain a proactive and customer-focused approach Act as liaison between team and customer group Support department performance improvement and cost reduction activities Lead or participate in special projects Assist others with workloads Mentor cross-functional team members Promote partnership across functional areas and customer groups Required Education Associates Degree in the security field or a minimum of 5 years experience as a security supervisor and 5 years military or law enforcement experience Additional Information: Professional certification as Certified Protection Specialist (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), Professional Security Investigator (PSI) or Industrial Security Professional (ISP) is desirable. Security license may be required based on position location. Experience Familiar implementing an Industrial Security Program with knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual. Understanding of ICD 705 and the management of Sensitive Compartment Information Facilities (SCIFs) Knowledge of Operational Security (OPSEC), implementation, training, and reporting. Experience liaison with accreditation authorities for periodic assessments. Experience with Department of Defense security policies and procedures, experience providing security support to compartmented programs. Preferred Department of Defense experience in security programs and investigations. Qualifications Highly ethical, with demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential and critical information. Familiar with NIST 800-171, 32 CFR Part 2002 (CUI), DFARS, and FARS. Active security clearance. Consistent track record to influence, supervise, and lead others, solve problems and work under schedule. Effectively using interpersonal and planning skills with attention to detail and follow through. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Knowledge or association with security related consultants, vendors, and professional organizations.
