Job Description
Title: Security Guard
Department: Security
Reports to: Compliance/Security Officer
Status: Non-Exempt
- Summary:
Guard property against damage, fire, theft, trespassing and illegal entry. Periodically patrol premises; examine doors, windows and gates to ensure that they are properly secured. Verify identity of employees and other persons entering the building. Inspect and properly store equipment. Report damage, theft, and unusual occurrences. Report disturbances and in the event of an emergency, maintain order and safety of occupants.
- Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
- Regularly review and provide updates on activity from our cameras throughout the bank’s branch and corporate portfolio.
- Respond to alarm monitoring company as required
- Observe all Bank patrons, vendors and guest(s) who enter and exit the premises.
- Report maintenance problems to appropriate department.
- Conduct daily safety inspection of facilities, maintain sidewalks and lobby area. Back up Facilities Managers for Fire Safety.
- Perform situation assessments and investigate work incidents.
- Identify, assist, and give clearance to entering patrons.
- Respond to fire alarms, security alarms, and accidents – contact appropriate emergency personnel.
- Monitor and operate electronic doors, gates, security systems, etc.
- Act as alternate guard when necessary.
- Manage crises security by soliciting vendors during emergency situations, i.e., plumbers, electricians, elevator repairman, etc.
- Testify in court.
- Handle and log loss and found items
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Comply with all federal and state regulations and rules impacting this position, meet all risk and compliance obligations, including the completion of required training.
- Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- At least one year of providing security services.
Compensation Range: $20.00/hr.-$24.00/hr.
The pay range for this position is competitive and is based on several factors, including relevant experience, skills, education, and market conditions. We believe in rewarding our employees fairly and transparently, and compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications and performance.
