We are searching for a meticulous Customer Service Representative to join our client's team in the Westfield, New Jersey area. In the Service industry, your role as a Customer Service Representative will involve managing customer interactions, maintaining precise customer records, and processing customer orders. You will also be tasked with assisting customers in selecting the best options from our catalog.
Responsibilities:
• Handle customer inquiries through a shared inbox, converting them into quotes and further into orders
• Ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer orders
• Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and transactions
• Assist customers in navigating our catalog and making the best selection for their needs
• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions as required
• Interact with customers through both phone and email, ensuring high-quality service
• Engage in upselling tactics where appropriate, blending customer service with inside sales strategies
• Undergo online training courses to become proficient in all our products and markets
• Collaborate with the warehouse team after order processing
• Proven experience in a customer service role• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in using computer software and technology
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet
• Patience and understanding when dealing with customer complaints or issues
• Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed customer expectations
• Basic knowledge of the service industry
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures or techniques
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Availability to work in shifts, during weekends, or on public holidays
• Knowledge of another language, apart from English, is a plus
