Job Description
A manufacturing company based in Grand Rapids, Michigan is looking to bring in an Accounting Clerk as soon as possible. This opportunity offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and receivable
• Assisting in the management of credit and collections
• Preparation and presentation of error-free accounting reports to the management team
• Ensuring all journal entries are accurately documented and filed
• Posting of payments received and invoices paid in a timely manner
• Reconciling account discrepancies through thorough investigation and appropriate actions such as stop payments, payments, or adjustments
• Utilizing accounting software systems and Enterprise Resource Planning for efficient data entry and accounting functions.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.
• Hands-on experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is needed.
• Must have a strong understanding of basic Accounting Functions.
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures.
• Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) management.
• Ability to perform accurate Data Entry tasks.
• Proficiency in Numeric Data Entry is a must.
