Job Description
LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a company in Chicago to assist with finding a candidate for a temporary to hire accounting specialist role. The accounting specialist will handle both accounts payable and accounts receivable as well as month end support. This is role is onsite and temporary to hire. They are looking for someone that can be a long term fit, work well with a team and balance multiple responsibilities.
Review and process vendor payments
Code, match and obtain approvals for payments
Maintain payment schedules
Review aging and follow up with customers on open balances
Apply and reconcile payments
Cash applications and reconcile accounts
Discrepancy research and resolution
Vendor statements
Accruals and reporting for month end
Assist with journal entries and reconciling accounts as needed
Ad hoc projects and audit support
Requirements:
4 + years of experience in AP and AR including month end close support
Intermediate Excel working knowledge
Must be able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Excellent communication skills
Pay range: $28-$33/hour
Pay Details: $28.00 to $33.00 per hour
