New Spirit Naturals is a dynamic and growing health and wellness company seeking a highly motivated individual to join our finance team as an Accounting Assistant. Position Summary:
The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for supporting various financial tasks and assisting with day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a foundation in accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, proficient experience with QuickBooks and a team player.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform data entry and bookkeeping tasks in QuickBooks
2. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
3. Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies on a regular basis.
4. Process accounts payable.
5. Maintain organized and efficient filing systems.
6. Collaborate with Accounting Manger to resolve financial issues and discrepancies.
7. Participate in HR projects and initiatives

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field a PLUS.
2. Experience in Human Resources a Plus but not required.
3. Proficient experience with QuickBooks software is required.
4. Knowledge of Shopify Analytics and Reports a PLUS.
5. Understanding of basic accounting principles.
6. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
7. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Ability to work collaboratively with the Accounting manager in a team-oriented environment.
9. Strong organizational and time management skills.
10. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
11. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
