We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Director of Accounting in LOUISVILLE, Kentucky. As a key member of our team, you will be involved in all aspects of the accounting cycle, including the production of financial reports, recording and analyzing transactions, and ensuring compliance with related practices and procedures. Our ideal candidate has a minimum of 5+ years of experience managing large finance and accounting teams, particularly in AP, AR, and month-end close. Excellent leadership skills and demonstrated experience in system implementation and process improvement are required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial operations including AP, AR, cost analysis, treasury, budgeting, and tax.
- Coordinate financial planning and budget management functions and recommend benchmarks for measuring financial and operating performance.
- Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget.
- Oversee the maintenance of organizational financial systems, ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and execute finance system implementation and process improvements.
- Coordinate financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.
- Lead, empower, and manage a large finance and accounting team.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. MBA or relevant certification such as CPA preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in finance leadership role within manufacturing/distribution sector.
- Strong aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and financial software systems.
- Proven experience in ERP implementations.
- Demonstrated team building and leadership skills.
