We are looking for an Accounting Office Manager with experience in payroll and prevailing wages. Construction industry or similar preferred.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting activities including billings, payroll supervision, and managing accounts receivable and accounts payable functions. Reconcile bank accounts.
• Reconcile accounts and generate financial statements (quarterly / annually).
• Maintain the construction management system, including project setup, budgets, job costs, contracts, change orders, purchase orders, and construction progress reports.
• Assist the President with any administrative tasks to keep the organization organized and running efficiently and effectively.
• Ensuring that all Labor Compliance for projects is adhered to by all.
• Annual insurance review and renewals for Auto / GL / Work Comp policies. Maintain certificates on all subcontractors.
• Provide required reporting for banks, surety and outside auditors.
• Input bills and payments into accounting system.
• Prepare year-end financial, tax, and benefit compliance reporting.
• Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Insure that company is in regulatory compliance with all local, state and federal laws.
• Maintain all business certifications and business licenses.
• Obtain and keep all employee records in compliance.
• Supervise front office employees.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems that arise from clients, employees, government entities and owners.
• Oversee the flow of cash and financial investments.
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
· Provide back up to Estimating Department.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Controller / Office Manager / Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar position, with focus in the construction industry.
• Prior experience using DIR, Prism, LCP Tracker and e-Mars is preferred.
• Certified and Prevailing Wage Payroll experience is required.
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Knowledge of Foundation Software is preferred.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi task.
• Strong organization skills.
• Knowledge of accounting principles.
• Demonstrate teamwork and problem solving skills.
• Clean background check.
Bachelor’s Degree, Notary and Bi-Lingual are a plus.
