About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Accounting Officer to oversee the development and management of an international financial accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and leading the financial accounting team, including general accounting, fixed assets/capital, lease accounting, and collaboration with third-party providers. Key duties include overseeing the monthly accounting close process, reviewing balance sheet account reconciliations, managing compliance with internal control frameworks, and coordinating accounting services to meet operational needs. The role also involves providing leadership in accounting process enhancements, standardizing processes, and promoting best practices across all locations. Applicants for the Chief Accounting Officer position at the company must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with a CPA certification highly preferred. A minimum of 12 years' experience in finance management, with a focus on financial accounting, and at least 5 years in team management are essential. Proficiency in account analysis, general accounting, and financial statement analysis is required, as well as a proven track record in process management and improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with financial systems, particularly SAP, and advanced Excel skills. Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills are necessary, along with a technical expertise in US GAAP, close processes, and financial reporting systems. Business acumen, a growth and digital mindset, and a strong sense of integrity and judgment in decision-making are also key attributes.
