About Solar For All
Capital Good Fund has been awarded an $156 million Solar for All grant under the EPA’s Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund to bring the benefits of solar to thousands of low-income and disadvantaged Georgians over the next five years. Over the next 5 years, Good Fund seeks experienced staff to support and to serve as subject matter experts on federal grant compliance, develop standards and processes, and train staff, subrecipients, and contractors on various requirements and procedures relative to the grant. This position is contingent upon contract award and grant funding.
Job Description/Responsibilities
The Solar For All (SFA) Accounting Specialist will help maintain the financial health and resiliency of the organization through meticulous bookkeeping and attention to detail, generate SFA financial statements, make payments to vendors and contractors, and monitor budget to actual revenues and expenses.
In this role, the Accounting Specialist will:
• Process accounts payable and ensure timely payment of invoices
• Create journal entries for lease payments
• Maintain accurate spreadsheets
• Communicate effectively and professionally with contract partners
• Process all receivables including check and ACH revenue
• Maintain the integrity of accounting records
• Be a team player

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
• Highly detail-oriented
• Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance or have equivalent experience
• Expert with Microsoft Excel, and familiar with accounting software, preferably QuickBooks
• Knowledge of GAAP
• Previous working for a nonprofit organization
• Be inquisitive, have a desire to learn new tools and methods
• Believe in continuous process improvement.
• Have a strong work ethic
Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
• Hands on experience reconciling bank accounts and both general and subsidiary ledger accounts.
• Knowledge of period-end closing processes
• Preparing Journal Entries
• Experience with leasing: interest accrual and reconciling payment summaries
• Knowledge of Salesforce is preferred but not required
Training and Compensation
The Accounting Specialist will receive extensive training on all SFA products, services, policies, procedures, and technology.
Annual salary of $43,680-$47,840 commensurate with experience.
