Who:
We are seeking a skilled Cost Accounting Manager with 5+ years of experience in cost accounting, preferably within a plant environment. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, and SAP experience (Material Ledger preferred) are required.
What:
The Cost Accounting Manager will provide financial leadership by delivering accurate, timely data, conducting analysis, and recommending actions to improve operational efficiency. Responsibilities include partnering with plant management to manage costs, overseeing financial controls, preparing budget forecasts, and developing cost standards for BOMs and labor rates. You will also be involved in continuous improvement projects, capital proposal reviews, and inventory management.

Position Overview:
The Cost Accounting Manager will lead the financial processes at the plant level, including cost management, budgeting, reporting, and inventory oversight. This role is key to ensuring transparency in financial data and supporting operational improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Challenge assumptions and support cost improvements in plant operations.
- Partner with plant management and engineering teams to manage costs and review capital proposals.
- Oversee the preparation and coordination of the plant budget.
- Ensure the accuracy of production orders and variances in labor/material usage.
- Develop and maintain BOM standards, labor, and indirect cost rates.
- Support inventory accuracy and financial audit processes.
- 5+ years of cost accounting experience, ideally in a plant environment.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- SAP experience is essential, with Material Ledger preferred.
