Legacy Commercial Property is a rapidly growing, full-service commercial real estate company specializing in leasing, acquisitions, development, construction and property management of retail centers. The Company portfolio consists of 700+ retail properties and over 6M square feet spread across 20+ states. The national footprint allows retail tenant partners and Highland Venture brands to leverage multiple properties to fulfill their expansion needs and the Legacy development team assists partners in locating and developing new sites. Legacy is focused on growing the commercial real estate portfolio through the strategic acquisition of retail and office space.

Role Summary
The Accounting Systems Manager will oversee the property management operations for all real estate owned by a family-operated business, ensuring seamless collaboration with property managers, vendors, tenants, and internal teams to maintain operational efficiency and maximize property value. This role emphasizes strategic oversight, tenant relations, financial performance, and coordination between leasing, construction, and accounting to ensure cohesive real estate operations.
Key responsibilities include monitoring budgets, supporting leasing efforts, overseeing preventative maintenance schedules, and delivering regular reports on property performance and trends. The ideal candidate will excel in communication, organization, and problem-solving, with proven experience in property management and an appreciation for the nuances of family-owned businesses.
Essential Functions
- Oversee and execute the implementation of large-scale initiatives and strategic projects to enhance real estate operations.
- Serve as the in-house expert for MRI software, leveraging its capabilities to streamline and improve workflows.
- Develop and implement workflow management systems to increase team efficiency and collaboration.
- Manage portfolio capital expenditures and vendor contracts to ensure cost efficiency and value.
- Identify and recommend strategies to optimize portfolio revenue and operational performance.
- Lead the creation and implementation of standard operating procedures, including developing training programs to ensure compliance across all real estate functions.
- Support the Director of Property Management in achieving overall departmental goals.
- Oversee rental revenue billing processes, including annual CAM reconciliations and tax billbacks.
- Manage the accounts receivable process to maintain financial accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist the Property Management team in the budgeting process, providing guidance and oversight.
- Continuously evaluate processes to identify and implement improvements that enhance operational efficiency.

Required education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree from 4-year college or university
- 5+ years of experience in real estate operations, property management, or a related field, with a focus on retail or commercial properties preferred.
- Proficiency in property management software, with prior experience in MRI or a similar platform highly desirable.
Work environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
Position type and expected hours of work
This is a full-time on-site position in Brentwood, TN. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Travel
Minimal travel expected. Travel to Glenview, IL and Springfield, IL offices expected periodically or other travel as needed.
