Qualifications:
- Track record performing accounting work with excellence and integrity
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience
- Associate Degree in Accounting with 10 years of accounting experience
- At least 5 years’ experience working in government contracting required
- Expertise in Deltek - Costpoint required and proficiency in payroll processing products, particularly ADP Run and Paycom
- Successful candidate will be required to successfully complete a background and credit and check
- Experience with STARS II (CPRM) and GSA FSA Sales Reporting System a plus,
- Submission of Client Invoices via WAWF and IPP a plus
- Proficient with Microsoft EXCEL, WORD and PowerPoint
- Able to perform work on site in Greenbelt Maryland
Essential Function of Position
Effectively and ethically plan, direct, coordinate and perform the accounting and other financial activities of the company ensuring compliance with company financial policies, legal deadlines and requirements. Draw upon Deltek expertise to perform government contracting accounting functions. Examine, analyze, and interpret accounting records to prepare financial statements, give advice, or review and evaluate statements prepared by others. Install or advise on systems of recording costs or other financial and budgetary data.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare and submit timely and accurate invoices to our various clients
- Create timely and accurate monthly and year-end financial reports in Costpoint
- Review and interpret new contracts and modifications for proper invoicing
- Set up new projects and modifications in Costpoint
- Adjust journal entries
- Record and deposit cash receipts
- Handle accounts payable and make and record disbursements
- Prepare monthly and year-end balance sheet reconciliations with schedules and reports to support account balances
- Responsible for revenue recognition and costing processes to ensure timely and accurate monthly and year end close
- Analyze and reconcile Unbilled Receivables on a monthly basis
- Analyze Aged Accounts Receivable and contact payment office for collections
- Analyze and Submit Project Status Reports to Project Managers
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- On a monthly basis, analyze and maintain open billing detail for all client invoices
- Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules
- Responsible for preparing and submitting payrolls using Paycom product
- Set up of new hires in Costpoint
- Responsible for reconciling bank statements
- Play key role in managing audit request lists and preparing requested schedules and documentation
- Submit quarterly GSA client sales in the GSA FSA Sales Reporting System
- Submit quarterly GSA client sales in the GSA CPRM (STARS II) website
- Provide support for yearly review by GSA of controls and sales reporting
- Enter new contracts and modifications for clients in the STARS II (CPRM) website
- Submit client invoices in Wide Area Workflow Website, e-invoicing, and IPP
- Responsible for daily cash management
- Develop all proposal pricing schedules and existing task order modifications
- Supervise accounting staff as required
- Search GSA eBuy/GSA Advantage! for potential opportunities
- Support risk management and internal threat programs
- Other duties as assigned
Position is onsite at the Greenbelt, MD Headquarters.

The wage range for this role factors the wide range of issues that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to training, experience, certifications, licenses, and other organizational and business needs. At Coleman, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $74370.67 to 95661.01.
You may also be eligible to participate in a Coleman discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
