Job Description
Southeastern Tool and Die, a family-owned manufacturer located in Aberdeen, NC is seeking an “Accounting Clerk/ Office Assistant" to join our team.
Full Time: Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Create, post customer invoices daily in Epicor and customer portals. Forward customer invoices per customer requirements (i.e.: email, fax, US mail, web, etc.).
o Process vendor invoices received by email and mail.
o Work with purchasing on ordering supplies and creating POs in Epicor.
o Interact with other departments as necessary to complete job functions, using professionalism, tact, and clear communication.
o Greeting visitors, answering phones, directing calls, having them sign guest book, and issue company safety wear to visitors.
o Track office supply usage and reorder as needed
o Maintain required paperwork and files as determined from Supervisor.
o Retrieve U.S. mail daily and distribute accordingly.
o Perform a wide variety of clerical duties as time permits. Each day will have some variety.
o Mail checks with appropriate attachments.
o Maintain electronic and physical filing system for open and paid invoices.
o Prepare and pay use tax according to state guidelines, on a monthly basis.
o Work with receiving department and/or vendors to resolve invoice/receiving discrepancies.
o Have excellent attention to detail, strong verbal, written communication skills, be trustworthy, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Apps. Have excellent organizational and leadership skills, be able to multitask and work with minimal supervision
o All other tasks assigned by supervisor.
