Finance Summer Intern (Hybrid)

Overview of Role
We are seeking students currently working toward a degree in Finance or Accounting (or MBA / MAcc) interested in learning first-hand the functions of Accounting and Finance within an organization. This role will be exposed to all functions including Corporate Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). The intern will report to either the Manager FP&A or Director of Accounting while working cross-functionally within the finance organization.
Location: Memphis, TN at company corporate headquarters
Type: Hybrid
Duration: May 2025 to August 2025
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours/week

Responsibilities
* Prepare month-end reports comparing actuals to budget.
* Monthly expense forecasting and annual plan assistance.
* Research, collect, analyze, and model quantitative data to track performance against KPIs.
* Participate in financial month end close.
* Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
* Participate in the development and refinement of internal control and accounting policies.
* Analyze financial reports due to external parties.
* Analyze reports to identify issues. Work with appropriate business partners and follow-ups.
* Shadow AP/AR Specialists to learn and understand the full cycle of cash management
* Ad hoc reporting and project support as needed.
* Additional training to ensure success.
Minimum Qualifications
* Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in finance or accounting (or MBA/MAcc)
