The Windstream team provides innovative software and network solutions to connect people and empower business in a world of infinite possibilities! _________________________________________________________ About this Role: This role is essential to the daily operations of Cash Accounting, blending traditional accounting tasks with operational support for customer payment assurance. Responsibilities include preparing general ledger entries, reconciling monthly balance sheet accounts, and implementing applicable internal controls. A strong grasp of accounting principles, the ability to research and reconcile complex accounts, and effective communication skills are crucial. What You’ll Do: Prepare general ledger entries. Reconcile monthly balance sheet accounts. Apply and adhere to applicable internal controls. Collaborate with multiple work groups, including internal departments and external agencies. Contribute to monthly analyses and explanations of bank and processing fees. Assist with internal and external audit requests. Expect some overtime, particularly during month-end close, to meet job requirements. Do You Have: Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on customer service. Ability to manage many details consistently and deliver organized work on time with minimal supervision. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn other relevant applications. Flexibility and enthusiasm in adapting to changing priorities. Creative thinking and the ability to work collaboratively. A strong professional work ethic. Even Better: Detail-oriented and well-organized. Proactive and independent work style. Ability to meet deadlines effectively. Minimum Requirements: College degree in Accounting and/or Finance with 1-3 years of professional experience; or 5+ years of professional level related experience; or An equivalent combination of education and professional level related experience.
