About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for its Cell Therapy Institute. The successful candidate will be the lead administrator for all CTI initiatives, overseeing business-related activities such as financial, personnel, research operations, and laboratory management. This role involves implementing operational changes to drive significant transformation in research, in line with the Institute's mission. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining an effective organizational infrastructure, coordinating project plans, and ensuring the Institute's goals and objectives are met. The Executive Director will also be involved in resource management, human resources, and financial management, and will serve as a primary signatory for Institute funding. Candidates for the Executive Director position must have a Master's degree in biomedical research or business/healthcare administration, with a preference for a Ph.D. in biomedical research and a Master's in business/healthcare administration. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a cell therapy and GMP laboratory setting, and at least 5 years in an administrative leadership capacity, is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biomedical research, research administration, and experience in the field of cell therapy. The role demands a strategic leader with the ability to manage complex operations, develop and implement growth plans, and ensure compliance with all institutional and regulatory requirements. The Executive Director will also be responsible for the Institute's financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and maintaining internal controls.
