About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its mission of supporting and strengthening adult English language learning programs. The successful candidate will be a visionary and strategic leader, responsible for the development and execution of the organization's strategic plan, as well as the oversight of programs, operations, and partnerships. This role involves leading a team, managing a significant budget, and serving as the primary spokesperson to build and deepen community and funding relationships. The Executive Director will also be tasked with ensuring the organization's sustainability, advocating for the needs of adult English language learners, and advancing racial equity within the organization's strategy and culture. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' nonprofit leadership experience, with a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams. The role requires exceptional relationship-building skills, a compassionate and collaborative leadership style, and a deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Strong financial management skills, experience with program evaluation, and a background in working with a Board of Directors are essential. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the mission, experience in adult education or immigrant rights, and a familiarity with the unique needs of a coalition model.
