About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its mission of championing education equity and supporting students in overcoming systemic barriers to achieving college degrees. The successful candidate will be a strategic and innovative leader, responsible for setting and articulating a clear vision that aligns with the organization's goals of serving more students and expanding its impact. This role involves being the primary spokesperson and ambassador, building strong community partnerships, and leading the Board of Directors. The Executive Director will also be a proven fundraiser, with a creative and entrepreneurial approach to revenue generation, and will be expected to manage the organization's operations, including program excellence, and a staff of 24. Candidates for the Executive Director position at the company should have a passion for the mission of education equity, with a focus on supporting first-generation college students and those from low-income households. The ideal candidate will be a natural collaborator, with a management style that promotes trust and open dialogue, and will have experience in culture building, diversity, and inclusion work. They should be a relationship builder with high emotional intelligence, capable of fostering a sense of belonging and shared purpose. A strong sense of confidence, leadership, and a commitment to the values of the organization are essential. The role requires a leader with a proven track record in strategic, visionary, and results-oriented leadership, and a deep understanding of the drivers of organizational success.
