Executive Director Opportunity with Intercity Radiology

Intercity Radiology is a well-established practice with 13 highly trained radiologists specializing in General Radiology, Neuroradiology, Musculoskeletal Radiology, Interventional Radiology, Body Imaging, and Women's Imaging.

Position Overview
We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Director to lead our team. The Executive Director will oversee our practice's overall operations, strategic planning, and financial management. This role is integral to driving our mission forward, enhancing patient care, and supporting the continued growth and success of Intercity Radiology.
Supervisory Responsibilities
• Direct reports include: Clinical Operations Manager, Operations Manager, Advanced Practice Providers (Women’s Health), Business Manager
• Areas of operational oversight include: marketing/patient relations, patient scheduling, MQSA
Essential Functions
Providing direct on-site support to ensure proper coordination of various business activities of the radiology practice.
Ensuring financial success of the practice and its related business ventures.
Creating and implementing initiatives that ensure a positive patient experience.
Developing infrastructure, systems, processes, and personnel to achieve business objectives and foster organizational growth.
Interfacing effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders including sites of service, business partners, community leaders, patients, and others.
Ensuring appropriate staffing models and productivity at the imaging centers.
Reporting regularly to shareholders and board members about key business and financial activities; generating meaningful reports that effectively communicate information to various constituents.
Identifying opportunities for improving financial performance, including revenue growth, expense management, and other related activities.
Engaging in both local and national specialty-related initiatives, business community, and related activities.
Providing oversight and mentoring to direct reports.
Maintaining a high degree of professionalism in a variety of situations; demonstrating resilience and effectively managing change when applicable.
Primary Responsibilities
The executive director will provide senior-level administrative oversight in the following areas:
Administrative- and management-related issues impacting the practice and the imaging centers, including:
Developing and monitoring operational performance standards
Overseeing contractual relationships
Developing and maintaining strategic partnerships
Ensuring staff effectiveness
Financial oversight and management, including:
Monitoring real-time financial information and regularly reporting to physician leadership
Conducting ongoing review of internal and external business operations, market conditions, practice activity, and reimbursement models
Creating and managing budgets; ensuring financial viability of the organization
Conducting and presenting financial analyses to inform strategic decision-making
Business development functions including service line growth, sites of service expansions, cultivating referral sources, developing employer and business-community relationships, and other related activities.
Human resources and workforce management, including cultivating and mentoring staff, developing and implementing appropriate plans, ensuring staff productivity, fostering employee satisfaction, and related activities
Identifying, reporting, and participating in the resolution of any potential or actual patient safety issues
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare administration, related field, or related and relevant years of experience; MBA/MHA or equivalent desired
10+ years’ experience, specifically in physician practice management and healthcare administrative management
Radiology operations experience
Strong leadership skills
Excellent negotiation and interpersonal communication skills
Successful track record of business development
Analytical and computer skills associated with financial modeling and budgeting
Ability to work and interface with physicians; administrative and clinical professionals; technical/non-technical staff
Ability to work independently in a multi-tasking environment
Ability to make and communicate well-reasoned decisions, both independently and as part of a team
Ability to see and articulate both the larger picture and operational steps needed to achieve practice-related goals and objectives
Extensive knowledge of physician billing and collections processes and healthcare contracting
Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel)
